My 85 auto lux is having a bad few weeks... When i pulled off a juction i felt a strong vibration as if there was a flat tyre so slowly drove home about 2 miles. So i checked the oil in the plastic viewing pot under the rear of the car which looked low and topped up with about 2 litres of gear oil, prob a small leak somewhere but now when i try to move forward or reverse there is a clunking noise from the rear every time the wheels make a complete rotation so for the past 2 weeks she has been parked on the drive. Have anyone heard of this and what could it be?? any ideas would be great so i got an idea when she goes to the garage.

At a guess, if it really is a clunk per rotation, it will be driveshaft related. And, following that through, CV joints.

Others will be along with better suggestions soon tho'.
