Rejection ~ A Cruel Mistress

Well looks like my rejected 987S has made it onto the "Porsche Approved Used Car Locator". I have posted previously at rejection time but the thread has died.
Wonder if they fixed it before they put it up for sale................?
After much deliberation i've decided not to go for another porsche - think the brand is going the same way as Mercedes, but thats just my opinion. All you lucky ones who have fault free Porsches, ENJOY. It was a great car (except for the fault) for the short time I had it!

Sorry to hear you're leaving the marque Harry, but I understand your reasons.
Porsche do seem to be sticking their head in the sand over some very passionate issues (just read the 996 Forum!), which is not doing anything to build confidence and retain loyal (and new) customers. Unfortunately, I think your comparison with Mercedes is not far from the mark, and look how long it has taken/taking them to regather customer faith.
Good luck with whatever you decide to steer in future, and remember to keep it shiny side up![:D]

I know that quality can vary from car to car, but overall I am delighted with my 987S

This is in sharp contrast to my previous set of wheels which was a current series BMW530i, which in twnety months of ownership had more than 23 faults, not all of which were fixed.

I sense a different build quality in my Porsche, and so hope that they do keep it up. The thing I enjoy most about my car is the sense of occasion I experience every time I turn the ignition key. It is more than a car, it is a reltaionship.

Curiously the most reliable cars I have ever had, have been Toyotas.
