Hello, hopefully a simple question! The round relays in the luggage compartment come in red or black. Are they the same relays just different colours? My 1989 has 3 relays(all red) serving foot well blowers, horn and fog lights (according to Bentley). Design911 sells both colours but suggest red ones are for the fuel pump? Can anyone explain/do I have the wrong relays?. Other than the DME relay are other relays in the habit of failing.Thank you
 
All round relays fit and work the same, as you say, the red one for the fuel pump as it is high load, I wouldnt worry too much about the colour
 
Your fuse box cover should have a plastic card attached to it which shows which fuse/relay is assigned to what, so you'll be able to quickly identify which is which.

For reference all three of mine across the top are black

Thanks for your replies. I think what was confusing me was the reference to the red relays being for the fuel pump since none of these round relays serve the fuel pump? Tim
