Rememberance for Peter Caulfield

I havent yet seen a thread on the sussex forum about the sad and tragic loss of Peter Caulfield, from Rivervale, our OPC. Peter was involved in a car accident on the way home apparently on the 8th September, I know no more than that.

He leaves a wife and two children. My heart goes out to them especially, it will take time and courage to get through this, I am sure that I am joined by the other members of the club in giving our deepest condolances, also, to the rest of the team at Rivervale, Peter was very highly thought of by many owners and members of the club, people entrusted their pride and joy in his hands, between him and Paul the service department at our OPC was the best around by far.

I would like to suggest that a minutes silence is observed at 9:00pm on the next club night, in a way of rememberance.

I appreciate your comments regarding Peter. Rivervale called me on the morning of the 9th to let me know me know of the tragic accident. I've known Peter since 1996 and have spent many a happy hour in his company. I only spoke to him around 17:15 on the Monday - a tragic loss.

I informed the club that day and appreciation has been written for the next issue of Porsche Post. Marianne and I attended his funeral in behalf of the region and we sent flowers in memory.

In choosing not to post on the forum I was taking my lead from Rivervale who have chosen to discreetly break the news to customer and members alike. The Club will publish the appreciation in the next issue.

It was my intention to make a formal announcement to members at the next club night and I share your sentiments regarding a minutes silence.

Thank you for your thoughts.
