Hi all

Picked my car up from the garage this morning after a quick curb mark repair, all working fine but when got home I locked the car, realized I had left myw phone in it, pressed the remote and nothing! I notice the remote
Light wasn't flashing so changed the battery but still nothing!

The doors open and the car works fine on the key but the remote doesn't work at all, the remote appears to be working fine (flashing) but it isn't opening the car or the bonnet!

I've tried the reverse polarity thing recommended on the web, also pressing lock button twice whilst the key is in the inanition but still no joy!

Any suggestions? Is this an OPC issue ? If so any idea of cost? I have warranty wise platinum cover which included all electronics and up to £150 an hour garage rates!

Anyone any ideas? Also why has this happened?

Thanks in advance
Tom

I hate to say it, but that's how it happens. I had one go bad just sitting in the kitchen drawer.

A new key head for a facelift 996 coupe/cab is £91.17 +VAT, plus programming. It takes about 15 minutes, but I suspect you would get charged for 1/2 an hour.
