Removal of central console on 997 cab

Hi all

I would like to get at the cabriolet roof switch in the central console. From my previous 996 cab I kept a "one touch" switch by Bahntec which was very useful. It is a b it of a pain having to keep ones finger on the button during the roof operation and Bahntec are happy to reprogramme my unit but I need to get at the switch.

Can anybody help ( my car is tiptronic to complicate things more)

I recently replaced my centre console (having bought a new one in "aluminium-look" finish from SpeedArt) and got my local OPC to fit it for me. I was told by an independant specialist that it's quite a tricky job and is best left to an OPC. Would be interested to hear whether it is indeed that difficult to DIY. For your information, the OPC charged me the equivalent of 1.5 hours labour.

I don't imagine the job would be any different for Tiptronics.
