PCCM+ fitted by local OPC
when I ordered it, I asked if the price included removal of the existing nav CD and CD changer in the front luggage compartment. This was confirmed as included in the price, thankfully in writing.
When first fitted, they didn't remove these so booked in for second visit
Second visit, they've managed to remove the CD changer but apparently there isn't a way to remove the Nav CD unit
Anyone else had this issue and is there a work around to remove it?
(Car has BOSE amplifier and fibre optic link)

Aside from this, it's all working OK and although an expensive option, Porsche Classic membership discount helped ease the pain. Jan application, may receipt of the pack......but that's another story

Sorry for a late reply but I managed to remove cd changer & nav unit.

If you're still having issues, I can post pics of the items, showing their mounting points. You also need optical links to re-make the disconnected plugs.

CD player is now removed, nav unit still there. Pictures and details of the optical link would be appreciated (male or female connection?)
OPC pretty clueless on this....

related question: how's the radio reception with the new unit? FM is lousy, very few stations showing up, poorer than the original unit

I had a good look at the nav unit and would post pics if I knew how.

Basically, the plastic cover is held in by two plastic protrusions that clip into corresponding slots. If you get a thin trim tool and push down behind the top of the cover, in line with the lid aperture, you should feel them. Push down, a few mms, on each tab in turn while pulling forward gently. The cover should pull forward enough to clear the tabs and then, just pull upwards and away. There are no screw fixings.

That leaves the Nav DVD player attached to the boot(?) wall. To release that is another series of clips, no screw fixings. Again, Using a narrow, flat trim tool, insert it from the top, where the unit sits against the boot wall. There is a ridge in the plastic moulding with a narrow gap. Directly below this gap is a clip that prevents the unit from rising up. Push the tool down, through the moulding gap until resistance is felt against the retaining clip. Push down a little further to release the clip. Whilst keeping the tool in place, just pull upward from the bottom of the unit and it should just slide upward and away. Excess force will possibly damage the clip. The unit is held by three plastic tongues, moulded into the plastic back of the unit.

My handbook gives two options for the sat nav unit location. Mine was in the lower, right corner (when looking from the front of the car) and next to the CD changer. The other option was shown as over to the left, behind a removeable cover.
