Removing crests for powdercoat

I'm getting my Cup2 alloys powdercoated and I've bought some genuine crested center caps in metal, so that the center caps can be powder coated to the same shade too.

What's the best way to remove the crest from the cap? Presumably they're glued on, so a hairdryer to the underside of the cap for 5 minutes, then push on the protrusions on the underneath?

Get a punch. The nail punch type..
Then turn the cap over , youl see a small "rivet" shaped prong sticking through the cap. Give it a bit of "pursuasion" with a hammer + ther should just pop out.. Thats how i removed mine. The once P coated use some " no nails" + stick them back in...Tapping them in aswell....Be carefull not to damage the badges...
 
Thanks Dave - excellent advice as always! I was half wondering what to stick the crests back on with, once they're back from powder coating...no more nails/gripfill is an excellent idea.

I'll let you know how I get on.
