Removing/fitting wing protectors

Greetings!

I have been asked how easy it is to remove the plastic film rear wing protectors and refit them. I thought a hair dyer might help ease them off, but that was the extent of my guess.

Anyone got any tips/thoughts?

Thanks

A hair dryer certainly helps. It softens the glue and they will just peel off quite easily once warmed up. Fitting new ones (don't even think about reusing the old ones) is pretty easy too. Just spray the area with a weak mixture of washing up liquid first and you'll find the new ones will slide into place fairly easily. Squeegee the liquid out from the centre with a kind edge (a credit card works well) to remove any bubbles - job done.

i did this recently. first one slowly with hair dryer etc, you get the sticker off and loads of glue left which has to be cleaned off somehow and takes a long time. second one I just yanked off very quickly in one go and it left no residue at all.

tried to get various detailers/window tinting people to put new ones on, couldn't so in the end I got porsche bodyshop to do it for £35.

oh and i put clear stickers back on silver car which should have silver stickers, but they're half the price and look better imo.

I replaced mine with a set I bought from Flea-Bay. They fit perfectly and had the "3M" logo on the backing paper, so they are good quality.
