Removing front indicator units......

Having been unable to overcome the urge to tinker, I'm having a bit of a problem getting the units out of the bumper. Apart from the obvious 2 nuts at either side, is the unit also secured from behind as I can't seem to free the bar steward []

At least I know I won't have any problem with the combination lamps as I refurbished/replaced the backing cases, so none of the screws are rusted in place, which is some comfort.

2 Screws on the front indicators only, the rubber seal has probably got a hold of it, try a small screwdriver with moderate pressure to libertate it.

I can take the lenses off no problem - it's extracting the backing part of the unit from the bumper recess. Even with the 2 nuts removed, I couldn't seem to be able to prise one out, and it felt as if it was being held in place from behind the bumper.

I had the same problem and I'm pretty sure brute force won out in the end. It was a while ago but I THINK what was stopping it in my case was the connection at the back, theres a rubber grommet (?) which seals the rear of the bumper and I also think is on the wires themselves so it needs a bit of force. I think it was also pretty badly rusted in place too. As you can guess my memory is a bit hazy [:)]

Many thanks Alex, my concern is then being able to re attach the wires and refit the rubber cap thingy if that is the case. Any further clarification would be much appreciated as I guess I've got to try these LED's on my own car first.
