Removing fuel line

I need to replace the first section of fuel line from the fuel accumulator towards the fuel filter.

The part number is 477209047B which is no longer available from Porsche so I have to remove it to show to a specialist to replicate.

Has anyone any experience of replacing this section?

Many thanks [:)]

No but will have to definitely unscrew those connections on the 1977 924 ,I have sorting out for a friend of mine-in his case the fuel filter is in the engine compartment & I sprayed the unions with copious amounts of WD 40 & GT85 some days before attempting to untighten the unions--essential to have really tight fitting spanners & be able to hold fuel filter at both ends until you "crack " the nut.
However next job is to replace the fuel accumulator with the larger 40 cc unit (this model has 2 x 20 cc ones) but as I've changed the fuel distributor /injector fuel lines with the next years model, this is necessary & existing joints/pipes look pretty horrible so a good clean off of the underseal & any other restrictions to the nuts,etc--loads of release agents & plenty of Visegrips of different sizes plus spanners to free the nuts.

Of course they may undo quite easily[8|]

You could try dropping this chap an email... I'm sure they could make one if they don't have one already.

Yes . . .
the VW garage I go to just used Kunifer tubing with the correct unions - can't be sure of the size now but 8mm and 10mm rings a bell for the two lines.
I think the lines were originally fitted before the rear suspension so unless you want to do the same!!! you will need to modify the setup anyway.
They didn't go all the way to the accumulator in one length for that reason and when I later replaced the HP section, inc the external pump, hoses and accumulator, I had to modify it again as the output hose from the accumulator that Porsche supplied wasn't the same length as the one they originally fitted! []
I got Pirtek to make a modified one from the original pattern.
