Ive got the replace the main Rubber Coolant pipe that runs down from the header tank to the lower part on the engine

Is it easier with The Header tank and or Rear PU removed

THanks

Hi

I have been quoted £6,000 for this as been told the PU has to be removed I am still in a state of shock. I am interested in how you get this resloved!

Cheers Alan

I am talking about removing the header tank so I can get at the pipe.

THis says you need to remove the emisionds tank to do it and I am hoping theis will stop me having to remove header tank

Cannot believe we are talking about the same thing.

Removing rear Bumper (PU) will take you about an hour first time because of not doing it before and rust

Now takes me under 20 minutes

This is only the Main Rubber pipe that runs down from the Header Tank to the smaller of the two pipes that goes into the left side of the engine under the car

It has two link pipes as well.

Have got the book 101Projects that says some times you have to drop the engine NOT REMOVE but drop it about an inch so you can get the tank out.
