Removing /Installing DME relay immobiliser

I have been meaning to post a link to a video showing the connection to the DME relay base from the ignition switch, in case it might be helpful to anyone thinking of removing their Alarm Immobiliser or installing one or having starting problems.

Just in time as a am fitting a new immobiliser the next couple of days.

Do you know where is the 2nd immobiliser circuit is normally joined into the loom.

short answer is I don't know but if the fuse relay box is the same for both models then I suspect it will be.
Its not too difficult to lift the fuse relay board slightly to check the cables in each connector block and refer to a electrical schematic for the 968 and reference the DME relay cable colours.

sorry I don't understand your question ?
All immobilisers differ in the way they connect to the wiring loom to isolate various functions .
The install instructions that come with your immobiliser will tell you what components you need to connect to . Its up to you to decide where exactly you wish to connect.
The video just shows a simple DIY isolation switch which disconnects the DME relay coil so that the DME relay is not energised when you switch the ignition on or hotwire the ignition switch

Your pictures showed what looked like a pre-designed way to wire in an immobiliser (ie cut the link and route the teh two tails to an immobiliser - or switch in your case)

As most immobilisers break 2 circuits, I was wondering if there is another handy link to cut and to use for the other circuit (eg fuel pump - Which I realise goes through the DME as well)

there are many options . You could put a switch into the fuel pump supply if you wish. Just locate the supply cable on the electrical schematic and break the cable and introduce a spst switch. Or you could isolate the 12v+ supply to the ECU or the starter motor solenoid switch supply from the ignition switch . .or the 12v+ supply to terminal 30 on the base of the DME relay .....
