removing sterio HU

I've just tried with some Alpine keys, it didn't work. Can someone tell me if they have removed the HU without the original keys? Do you pull the keys out or in? if that makes sence.
I have the cdr32 and i want to look at the back of the unit to see if a Becker 7950 will fit straight in.
Thanks for the help.

I think it will; be quicker to look at the handbook for the rear view of the 32. There is a pic/link I posted recently. If you want to get it out you can take off the two trim pieces at the side of the aircon/cd unit-- lever them off gently with the screwdriver head wrapped in a thin piece of material and then squeeze in the retaining clips at the base of the unit to release. You may have to take out the aircon unit to get it back in (take off the surround trim and unscrew the four screws -- bit of a faff but doable).

Good idea Paul, I forgot James Fuller the last owner sent me a PDF for the sterio, just had a look and it looks identical connectors consisting of 3 blocks.

Again thanks for the reply.
