Renegade Hybrids LS-1 conversion

Will be in Vegas for holidays in April and am planning a visit trip to Renegade Hybrids to see their development LS-1 development for the 944s plus a test drive of their V8 944s maybe. Who knows, I may end up shipping the LS-1 kit and a Chevvy V8 engine (and a supercharger maybe [;)]) back here to the UK [8|]

Watch out - the 951 owners out there [:D]

Have fun [8D]

I remember this being discussed some time ago and that problem being that the conversion won't fit into a RHD car for some reason.

Do it!!!!!!!

It's about time one of us did as we keep talking about it regularly. Fen did a lot of research a few years back and it's not that it won't fit an RHD car it's just that no-one has actually done it yet. There are quite a few fabricated parts in the LHD kit to make it fit and I think the consensus was there would be a few extra ones for RHD.

Talk to the Promax boys who I think are very keen to do this conversion and have a good knowledge of the Chevvy engines from their Holden side of the business

Now, forgive me but I'm not at all technically minded so I might have got this wrong...[&:]

I thought that Fen had worked out that the engine would fit fine, but the transmission was the problem? An explanation in simple terms would correct me, I'm sure. [:)]

I keep looking at this and keep telling myself no. I'd love to do this, if i had enough space to have an extra car and the money id do it in a flash. Keep us informed if anyone does do this!
