Has anyone tried replacing door bins (with the long hinged lid which is at elbow level)? Any suggestions for suppliers? I assume relatively easy DIY. if not - grateful for warnings.

Thanks

Michael

Try Southbound Motor Trimmers - i used them for a full retrim on my old 993 and found them to be very good.

Not sure if you can get the part from an OPC otherwise ? Also Gert at Carnewal is very good - i've bought parts from him before, would highly recommend him, top bloke.

Good used ones come up from time to time. A set of black ones in good nick where on 911uk.com and eBay for sale recently.

I take it your one is cracked? they can be plastic welded with success as Paragon had one of mine repaired for me and it's as new.

Thanks - I had tried the P-car website and saw the "how to remove the door panel" article but couldn't find a specific "how to replace door bins (even if you're only good with a hammer and string)" article.

It is the plastic which has broken - might try the plastic weld option. If not working, will follow up replacement search with Leeds OPC. I'd spotted the earlier post re cassette replacement and that seemed a good option.

Regards

Michael

The bins can be removed in a matter of minutes. There's just a handful of screws around the edge and just the one inside (right where they crack).
