Replacement Exhaust tips on C2S

I'm sure the new exhaust tips done on warranty are starting to vibrate/flap like they did on the old ones.

Anyone had to have a second set ?

Yves, I haven't had a second set of replacements, but to be honest, after the new ones went on, the exhaust still sounded a bit blustery and rattly - just as it did before.

Anyway, I am having PSE fitted next Thursday so it will be interesting to see if the sound improves when just in "normal" mode?

Mine were replaced on Monday and they sound exactly the same as the original set. I did check the manufacturing date stamped on the new ones to verify that they were in fact the later design before high gloss polishing the stainless finish. I definately don't want to repeat the process for a third time.

Yves my car is in for a second time for the exhaust tip recall. Just had a phone call 30 mins ago asking if they could keep it in for a further day as all the parts hadn't arrived.

Not happy.

After having the initial recall done, I was still getting the vibration and rattle noises once the car is at running temperature.

Interesting, looks like it could still be an issue then.

How much does PSE cost to retrofit ? Does the OPC have to mess about with the dash to fix the interior switch ?

Regards

Yves

Yves, my OPC is doing the job for £1600 all in (parts, labour and VAT). This is good value I think because the Tubistyle muffler replacement was working out at £1,450 and this way the car stays "stock", no warranty, insurance or resale issues.

My understanding is that they will fit a new panel, with the spoiler and PASM buttons alongside the PSE button, however, knowing my luck I will end up with a toggle switch from a 1960's mini!

nsm3,

Let us all know how you get on wont you.

Think I'm goin to get my spanners out tomorrow and see if anything needs tightening up.......
