Replacement Fog Light Bulbs?

Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend a replacement bulb for the front fog/driving lights? As yet I haven't taken out a bulb but I am guessing that they are H3 12v 55w. One bulb is brighter than the other so I shall be looking to replace the pair.
Could I go a little higher in wattage? Could I get a brighter white light as opposed to the sickly yellow which they are at the moment. Lots of questions but too few answers from myself that is, but that's what I love about the "Forum", the knowledge is out there you just have to let it in. Thanks guys.

Hello Ray
I suggest you fit two new bulbs. Places like Halfords sell a range of bulb which are claimed to give brighter/better quality of light. A lot of this is subjective. Most of it is controlled by price and yes you get what you pay for.

You cannot legally fit higher wattage bulbs unless you are using them and the vehicle off-road. European Law restricts the light output of headlamps and fog lamps to 55 Watts on road vehicle, all bulbs must be European Type Approved and you will not get a legal 100 Watt type Approved bulb.

The next point is Porsche wiring is not designed for anything over 55 Watts, in fact a lot of it is not even suitable for that. You will see all the discussion on burnt out headlamp main beam/dip beam switches and the use of relays.
Stick to a good set of new bulbs.

Hi Alan,
It was my intention to fit a pair. I have in the past purchased 100w headlight bulbs for my Golf GTI when I was club rallying and yes they are illegal for the road. However all upgraded lighting was run through relays.
I have just purchased a new fuse board for both front and rear for the 911 but still do not wish to run high wattage lighting as I have in the past.
I am thinking this might be the way to go to get a bit more light without increasing wattage: https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H3-Philips-White-Vision-12V-55W-Halogen-Bulb.html
Thanks for your views on the subject Alan.

Have you thought about LED replacements for the Fog lights?

Do some research on Pelican/Rennlist and I'm sure there are many that have already done this switch.

In regards to the Headlights, you should put relays on the wiring and also fuse the lightswitch as a preventative measure even if you don't change these Bulbs.
I've got one step further and upgraded the whole fuse panel which has built in relays:
