Replacement gearbox oil cooler

Finally I have finished it after the old one cracked. I had to modify the original bracket quite significantly but it does tuck the oil cooler into a nice safe place.

Ooh - I like the look of that, can you list the parts up please?

I have a slight weep from mine, I've replaced the seals but if it's not a simple fix I might go for a similar setup to yours.

Sure

1x 115mm 16 row universal cooler (this one has an6 fittings)
4x m6 20x20 rubber bobbins
Mocal oil cooler universal mounting brackets
2x an6 90' push fitting connectors
1x an8 straight push fitting connector
1x 180' an8 push fitting connector ( on these an8's I filed off the barbs on the hose end because they made for a too tight fit)
1 metre of Hel braided 10mm i.d. hose.
1 design911 oil cooler fitting kit.
4x22mm jubilee clips
4x16mm jubilee clips

The bracket it is mounted on is the original cooler pipe bracket which I cut at least 40mm out of its length, as you can see I welded on some wings to support the cooler and the cut and welded the bracket again so the "wings" were at 90' bend. As you look at it in the picture its secured top left to the transaxle housing (big cap head bolt) and on the right its secured behind the top nut of the shock absorber.

I hope that helps [;)]

Thanks - very helpful.

A bit late now, but when I fitted my second oil cooler last week we put the hose end in a jug of just boiled water for a couple of minutes first and it made it pliable enough to go over the push-lock fittings.

I did try that but the an8's were just that little bit too large, with the barbs removed it was still a tight fit.

Looks nice, not a fan of braided hoses though as I've had a bad experience with ends coming adrift. I prefer the push fit rubber hoses.

They are push fit rubber hoses but with a braided sleeve for protection [;)]
