Replacement of internal blower fan

hello all.

I have just changed my blower fan , the old one gave up, so a new fan was duly purchased, together with a upgrade plug from Porsche ( the old fan had a large plug , the new fan has a much smaller plug ) I removed the old plug ,checking the wires that where numbered 1 & 2 , I fitted the new plug , again with a 1 & 2 and connected , so wires should be correct , replaced fan ,ducting etc and switched on , it works but not as well as I would expect. So basically , could the wires be wrong ? Or do I have a dodgy new fan ?

Was this a Porsche OEM replacement fan? Is there a resistor in the circuit that's failed? I cannot imagine the wiring is incorrect, otherwise the fan would run in reverse. [8|]
 
Have you checked what voltage your getting at the fan?
The two wires at the fan, go to and from the climate control module which will control speed etc.
 
Update
fan sorted , running backwards ! Wires swapped over , now all good, proper blowing now happening ??
