replacement Seats

Hi All,
The front seats in my beloved 1982 944 are to be honest crap.
Looking around there doesnt seem to be anything much better available.
I dont really want to go to aftermarket seats - does anyone know if 911 seats would fit? These seem to be more plentiful.
Any guidance gratefully accepted?
Thanks

What aspect of them are you not getting on with? The seats in the later cars are all made by Recaro and I'd be surprised if the ones in the earlier cars aren't as well. And they also made the seats that were in the 911's (and 928's) of the same era.

If you are finding them uncomfortable then take your time and play around with seating position. You can also add extra padding in the backrest if you think they are lacking there.

When I first bought my S2 I found the seats fiendishly uncomfortable and looked at having ones from another manufacturer trimmed and modified to fit. However a friend with a background in orthopaedics spent 20 minutes or so working with me and the way I sit in the car and adjusted the seat correctly and I now find it very comfortable, even for long journeys (and have done so now for 10 years). Clearly you don't need an orthopaedic consultant to tell you how to adjust your car seat but don't give up on the standard seats if you haven't tried adjusting them to suit you.

Oli.

Thanks all,

On the driver side I am fairly sure that something has come adrift on the base, on the passenger it doesnt lock in the upright position.

Mine is an early model, I like the seats - perhaps I should look further into getting them fixed!
