having just had a nightmare getting my windscreen replaced in my 89 944S2 I thought that the following information might be of help to other 944 owners.

This is the Company that supplied my tinted green windscreen to National Windscreens who did a fantastic job of replacing my windscreen this week. You can order direct from Pugh glass either collection delivery or fitting

Charles Pugh Glass Ltd
Longwood Road,
Brookhill Industrial Estate,
Pinxton,Nottinghamshire,

T: 01773 581 458
Tinted windscreen stock code 6714AGNAZ price £375.57 excl VAT 1No in stock
green top tint windscreen stock code6714AGNGNAZ price £450.08. excl VAT 3No in stock

Both screens have antenna fitted and come with surround weather stripThey have no stock of clear windscreens which were optional extra M463 on 944S2 I'm pretty sure that these screen will fit all 944 from 85.5 onwards including
944Lux coupe
944Turbo coupe
944 Turbo Cabriolet
944S coupe
944S2 coupe
944S2 Cabriolet.
However please check for the Cabriolet models as the first screen that was delivered was 75mm shallower than my screen and it was marked 944/968 86 to 92 ? I'm not sure if it is the Cabriolet models or the 968 or both which has a shallower screen so check first . if anyone knows the answer to this please advise so that I can update this post thanks Here is a list of the Porsche part numbers for the various models which might be helpful in tracking down and ID ing new and used screens
944S2 Coupe 944-541-011-13 Clear with Antennae
944S2 Coupe 944-541-011-12 Green Tinted with Antennae

Autoglass did mine on insurance without any issues a couple of years ago, interestingly the one that was taken out was a clear screen and a green top tint with aerial was fitted ( as per original fitment)

scott glad to hear that you got your windscreen fitted without any issues but as you say that was many years ago. Time has marched on ,retail prices for screens have rocketed and supply is no longer easy as it once was as you can see from my posts.

The original windscreen spec on 944 was not green tinted with green top it what the customer ordered as I explained in my previous post.

The original screen on my car was clear, probably like yours, because the original buyer specified clear as an optional extra M463
There are over 50 different optional extras, like air con which my car also had so I would suggest there is no such thing as a original fitment rather a question of what spec the original buyer chose.
