Replacement Windscreen

I had a new screen fitted today and since my insurer ( Saga ) have their preferred supplier rather than argue since I'd heard no complaints about them ( AA AutoWindshields ) I agreed for them to carry out the installation on my drive.

Apparently, AA Autowindshields used to be National Windscreens who used to do installations for the OPC's and so the fitter had done quite a few. Idon't know if the AA now do them for the OPC's.

I was glad to note that the screen was identical to the item to be removed and was manufactured by St Gobain. The fitter certainly knew his way around doing a Porsche screen. I had checked concerning the warranty in case the screen would not be acceptable if it was some other brand but that would be no problem according the the OPC but not a problem anyway in this case, I now have a reason to stay with my insurer rather than risk using another screen repairer. [:D]

That's good to hear. National Windscreens are replacing the windscreen on my 996 this coming Monday so hopefully I will have the same experience. I must admit I'm slightly nervous...
