ReplacementTyres for c2s with turbo wheels

Hi I have a 97 993 carrera s wiyj hollow spoke turbo wheels. Sadly at it's last mot it was noticed that I had two nails in one of the rear Pirelli p zero N2s. No one seems to be able to get N2s now, so I took the rims and had Pirelli P zero rossos 285/30 s put on. My query is that the outer edge seems wider than the N2S and the edges seem close to the inner lip of the wheelarch. Has anyone put p zero rossos on a c2s with turbo wheels, and do the tyres catch on the wheelarch? - I haven't driven yet, but don,t want to damage either the car or tyres in case I need a re think? What tyres does everyone else use instead of the n2s?
Thanks for any help on this one.

Barry,

I have 285/30/18 P Zero N4 tyres on my narrow bodied C4 and have no problems with clearance. I took mine round the Nurburgring last year, so if I was going to get any rubbing I would have noticed it then! I obviously have a different offset to the wide bodied cars, but if I can fit these tyres under my wheel arches, I'm sure you'll have no problems. Bear in mind that the wheels won't move straight up on the suspension, they pivot up and in (if you know what I mean!) so although it looks like they are close to the edge when looking from the outside, the actual suspension movement should give the wheels enough room.

I have Pirrelli Rosso's on my C2S, and they don't rub the wheel arches. I will have a look and guage how close they get, but it has never been an issue. I will confirm the size, but I think they are the same.

My tyres are the same as yours. Whilst it may look tight, they have never rubbed.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my query on the tyres. The clearance is small, but looks the same as the picture posted, so I'll stick with the p zeros and see how we go. Thanks to everyone who responded as I don't know anyone else with a c2s so had nowhere else to go

Yep, the zero's are fine on my C4, also with hollow spoke turbo's, no rubbing and I think a pretty good ride too, enjoy!
