Replacing Air bag Steering Wheel

the resistor yo speak about must be sourced locally(you have to find it yourself) no porsche part number exists. You must fit it where the airbag spiral cable interface connects to the cars wiring loom ,which is located in the steering column shroud and identified by a orange colour to the block connectors. Also you must run a new wire to the column stalk assembly to complete the horn circuit which runs through the spiral cable on an airbag car! along with a plastic contact which i hope you have bought.
alternatively if you don't want the passenger airbag to be active you could disconnect the airbag control unit completely ,but then you would have the light and exclamation mark to extinguish every time you start the car?
the resistor needs to be around 2.4ohms to fool the control unit in to thinking that the airbag is still connected.
Easiest way is to buy the airbag replacement plug from your local porsche dealer, fools the system into thinking the airbag is still fitted, much safer than the resistor method, especially if your leaving the passengers side one in.
Porsche call it a test plug, I got the part number for it somewhere, if I can find it I'll post it on here for you.
Hope that helps
