Replacing bumpers

The same again ... the front one needs to be resprayed, but that costs and also takes the car off the road. I can get a fully painted one for less, oddly enough, but then there is the fitting ...

Mike,

I am surprised that you think it's cheaper to get new parts sprayed up and then fitted separately, than having them fitted by a body shop - or than just a straight re-spray. Either way you will have to take the car off the road for a few days.

We had the GT3 kit fitted by Jasmine and this seemd cheaper to me than getting things done separately, as I had no intention of doing any of the work myself. They only did the final spray when they had the car to match to - hence the time off road.

It might be worth considering an upgrade to the MK2 spec if you haven't got a car of that era already? It won't cost much more than a like-for-like swap I shouldn't think.

So many choices and so little time![:)]
