Replacing sunroof seal on 993

Hi All,

I planning to change the sunroof seals on my 993, wondered if anyone has challenged this before and has any tips on how to make the job go well and look perfect. The old one has rotten / split and sits high of the roof line, I would like to carry out the work myself to make the car look great again! - Thanks Karl.

I've got the same problem.

Collecting the car from service on Saturday, I had long chat with the principal, and his recommendation was to have a body-shop do it. It requires (ideally) 2 people, and very careful positioning as the glue bonds very quickly.

He showed me with my existing seal (which is knackered).

Like you I thought it could be a DIY job, but I'm not going to attempt it. The seal costs circa £40.

Thanks for the info, I'll order the parts from design 911 and challenge it! - Looking on youtube some has added a video showing how they replaced the seal.

I'll let you know how it goes!
