Afternoon all.
I’m looking to replace my tyres on my 911. What’s peoples thoughts/recommendations?
Pirelli or Michelin.
Thanks.
Jason

Which model of 911?

What sizes?

What are your criteria?
- ultimate grip?
- wet weather grip?
- noise levels?
- efficiency (mpg)
- track days?
- touring?
- cost / value?

Hi Jason,

I guess that we’re talking a modern water-cooled Porsche here, and currently the Michelin PS4S seems to be the most popular tyre, although the Pirelli P-Zero tyre tends to be the most common fitment ex-factory. The latest Continental Sport Contact 7 tyre has its supporters, but I believe it wears quite quickly [faster than the Michelin anyway], and the Bridgestones are reported to be hard-wearing.

You pays your money and takes your choice!😀

Check out the club deal with Pirelli. I actually purchased 2 P Zeros from Asda as they were the cheapest, they’re doing an extra £20 off 2 tyres and £40 off 4. I did also fill in the Pirelli paperwork and despite them not being linked with Asda they did send me a £60 pre paid debit card as a goodwill gesture and yesterday I got a really nice Pirelli baseball cap in the post
