Replying to titanic mailing lists

I am not a PC numpty but I cannot get my head around the Titanic mailing lists.

I get them in batches daily but how do you reply or get involved? [&o][&o]

Nightmare......[8|]

Assuming that no-one's looking, as Titanic is in no way endorsed by PCGB, or any of it's associated companies. Copyrright is in the eye of the beholder, and Titanic may contain nuts.......[;)]

If I've covered my rear, then, as I understand it, and without prejudice.....

Titanic is completely un-moderated, un-censored, and home to the most helpful bunch of 944 owners on this small island. The world would be a worse place without it, but logging in seems to be a problem. I inherited the last RS's "welcome letter", which had a link to Titanic that doesn't work. I've asked for anyone to help, but no-one seems to have a way for new members to sign on?

The only problem with Titanic is, because it's un-moderated, it's open to abuse from advertisers. Even so, if you've got a 944, you really do need to find a way to get onto the forum.....

Would I be thinking that it will be more trouble than its worth or are there any benefits?

Oh, no...

Find a way in. I know that people have tried before and had problems, but it really is THE 944 forum. If you do a search on this site on any topic, it's probably been done better on Titanic.

There is a downside, though. I found the car first, Titanic second and the PCGB third. Apart from the fact that I'd have saved a lot of money had it been the other way round....I'm now a member of the establishment. The benefits start here.....[&:]

I'm afraid that I withdrew from the Titanic list due to some threads getting far too personal (no mods doesn't help) and getting way away from anything to do with cars. The info contained was very useful but frankly no bettter (for a newbie) than here or the other forum everyone is on.
Most of the helpful individuals crop up on one of these 2 forums and fortunately none of the real egits get through.
I won't be back and don't miss it.

, but it really is THE 944 forum.

I have to disagree, this is THE 944 forum [:)]

There are hardly any posts on there anymore as we are all over here now where we are more modern, have a search facility and can post pictures in the thread. I'm still on Titanic for nostalgia reasons but hardly read any of the few posts these days [:(]

Good to see you got LIL home safely Paul, I hope she behaved.

I agree, Its a shame but the titanic mailing list is shrinking and becomming quieter all the time.... its the way nearly all email based discussion is going

Thank god for that................[:)]

I really thought I was missing something in how crude it seemed but it is (these days) crude IMHO
