Anyone able to advice me how to reprogram settings for radio, driving lights etc ?. US car to be used in Norway.

What do you mean by "settings" in this context?

If you can give some more info, I'll see what I can find out from Les our tech support man.

What I mean is for example programming of the radio frequencies. As far as I understand the FM radio frequencies are different in USA and Europe (odd v.s. even digits in the decimal figure for frequency).
Other things may be related to miles/h v.s. km/h.
Cellular phone module reprogramming, if any, is an other example.
I have not tried any of this yet as I will pick up the Cayenne Turbo 2004 (manufactured in 03) car the coming saturday 18 th of Feb.

I am trading in an Aston Martin DB7 Vantage. It is not for our roads here in Norway. I am looking forward to the 2004 Cayenne Turbo. I hope it is more suitable both for me and our roads.

Just remembered one other thing that needs to be reprogrammed.
In Norway it is a requirement to have front/rear lights on at all times when driving. I believe this can be set from the vehicle control computer system.

Some settings can be set by the Porsche dealership, such as the auto door locking when you move off. Perhaps having the lights on can be, I don't know.

The phone module is a bit more tricky.
It depends on what it is. If it is a GSM 1900 system only, then it won't work no matter what you do.
The phone module would need to be replaced.
If it is triband (GSM 900/1800/1900) then it will. But I do not think anyone makes a triband carphone, since there is almost no need.

Miles v km can be changed yourself, so that the digital display and the trip computer use km.
Of course the analogue speedo cannot be changed unless you change the instrument cluster.

I do not believe the radio frequencies can be changed. I might be wrong, but I expect there are different models for US and EU markets. Even if it all looks the same, there will one chip inside that is different.
