REQUEST FOR CARS FOR MEDIA ARTICLES

Dear All,

With the 911 celebrating its 50th Anniversary this September, I have received two requests for anyone interested in having their car featured in various media articles.

We have received a request from CAR magazine for a number of 911 cars at a static photo shoot. If you can help please email Ben Pulman ( ben.pulman@bauermedia.co.uk ) to discuss further.

ALSO

this one from the Assistant Features Editor from The Independent Newspaper.

I'm a journalist at the Independent newspaper where I often write for the Saturday magazine. I'm hoping to write a long feature this summer in celebration of the 911 and its owners. Obviously it is to tie in to 50 years of the car and what I'd like to do is tell the car's story through its owners.

Ideally what I'd want to do is meet its owners, see their cars and hear their stories with a photographer. I'm sure you have lots of owners with interesting tales of how they came to own 911s, what they've done with them and much more.

If you are interested in being part of The Independent feature, please email or PM me with a phone number and email address on which you can be easily contacted, and I will forward these on to the editor. In the interests of Data Protection, I will not divulge private details without an individual's expressed permission.

**Please remember, that I have no direct control in who's car(s) are subsequently featured (or not!). The decision lays entirely with the publication editors' themselves**

I will ensure this request is also published in the July issue of Porsche Post. As I understand it, The Independent Newspaper article will not appear until September, so there is quite a long lead time on this.

People should bear in mind that Car hate Porsche & pretty much every cover proclaims some rival as 'the new 911'! This is one of the (many) reasons I stopped subscribing.

When they had a previous Porsche anniversary issue they got some assorted suitable motoring celebs to write about why such & such a model was their favourite & then proceeded to say something on the lines of 'yes, but it was rubbish'.

The independent thing might be good though. [;)]

The article in CAR magazine was a request via the club. While the Independent Newspaper was a direct email from the editor.

For info, I've now emptied my PM box so any new messages shouldn't bounce back to senders! Any probs, please let me know and I will inform the Club IT people.
