Respray recommendations?

Any recommendations for someone to respray my car in either SW london or surrey/sussex?

I used Riviera about 7 years ago now for a full re-spray: Riviera Autobody,

Ewelme,
Wallingford,
Oxfordshire,
OX10 6HQ
used to be in Reading but moved to Oxfordshire. worth a look, but not in your back yard perhaps...did a good job, but time has revealed a few minor imperfections that perhaps shouldn't have appeared...

Since then I've used Beetlelink: https://www.beetlelink.co.uk/ in Aldershot for some rust repair work. They've done a great job but like many of these places need a shove and a chase every now and again...

FWIW my experience last year with so called Porsche specialist body shops was that they're only really interested in 911 resto work. That's where the money is. Booked in to one, to then be turned away on the day, after waiting weeks, as he'd filled his (untidy) workshop with 911s!! The other's quote definitely had a Porsche Premium on it.

So be careful in your choice.

My car is now at a local shop (Oxfordshire) for wheel arches. He'd done a brilliant job on my BMW just before I'd walked away from my second "specialist", and I discovered that as well as regular accident work, he'd done MGB, Mini, Escort...all noted rust buckets! Good job so far.

I'd be interested in knowing who you're using in Oxfordshire? I need some work done on mine and found a similar experience that you've had.

A friend of mine is having his 968 done at a little place in Buckinghamshire, the guy has not done a porsche before but like your fella has done some excellent work on all the usual british rust buckets,

and seems to be horribly cheap too.
The "P" word seems to bring the worst out of most body shops

It's Matthew Evans at Lodge Hill Workshops near Abingdon. Their main body shop business is Enterprise rental cars, so sometimes very busy with that...I just had to wait! He's the second generation up there, at least, and they have a normal workshop too.
