Restaurants in and around Winchester

Can any one help me, my wife and I are coming down to Winchester for Three days starting on Thursday next week so she can learn to drive a Tank[:)], But thats on saturday we would like to try a few Restaurants in and around Winchester apart from the hotel (The Wessex Hotel )
So can any one recommend a reasonable priced good Restaurant[8|]
 
Not in Winchester, but only 15 minutes north

whitchurch is just off the a34, 4 miles north of the a303 east of andover
 
Winchester does have a " Loch Fyne" resturant, serving mainly fish dishes, its near the theatre on Jewry Street ( 01962 872930) booking recommended at weekends. Also in the village of Otterbourne ( 4-5 miles south) I can recomend " The Old Forge" (Pub Chain) no booking required, but it does get busy at weekends.

She is doing it on saturday 7/6 looking at the weather for the weekend it`s going to be very muddy,[X(] but I will let you know

The resturant Loch Fyne was excellent but we could not get into Hotel de vin @ bistro fully booked but the stay in Winchester is recommended
My wife truly enjoyed her tank driving thinking she would take the racing line a bit fast she had the instructor screaming at her to slow down ![:D][:D][:D]

I`ve put the shot of the chieftain on just for you If you want the rest you will have to do it your self! ran out of camera battery after 60 shots for the weekend live and learn
