Retrimed interior costing?

Morning guys, what does one think the going rate is to have the following done to a late 944?

Full leather trim (different colour) front electric seats.

Full leather OR Leatherette rear seats (colour same as fronts).

Carpet set (cream) replaced or cleaned?

New door cards in contrasting colours to seats.

I see Southbound do it all but it looks very expensive. Do we have any recommendations elsewhere?

Ian

Used above for a full retrim before, interior facelifts, repairs.Small family company nice to deal with and well priced, they have advertised in Porsche post before, they can use regular leather or the correct perforated type that was standard in our cars.
If you could see what they do as a facelift you would be amazed, they replace bolsters, redo piping and refinish makes a leather interior look fab for small outlay.
If you want the full monty they can do that too.

I am re-building my 944 and have had the front and rear seats stripped, new cushions/bolsters, new leather and suede stitched together and refitted. I have re-trimmed the interior (door cards, dash, armrests etc) in the same colour alcantara and had new carpet set made up. If doing some of the work yourself, you won't see any change out of £1k. If you get someone else to do the whole lot, a good re-trim will see you over £2k. The difference is truly inspirational though but a big pill to swallow.

£2500 for the seats [:-] did you buy new ones ?

Ken, 944 man here told me door cards aren't able to be re-covered?

I've always gone for "they'll fix it at a price", but is this what you had done?

Did that involve new backing, essentially making new parts from scratch?

944 door cards are very difficult to recover correctly and maintain the feature line that runs around the bottom of the door card.
I sent mine to Paul Champagne in the USA he was the only person that came up with a method of doing this

it involved making a wire template of the feature then covering this with leather, holes were punched in the card and the wire attached though these holes, they are a work of art better then covering the whole card and losing the 944 look

I will post some pictures shortly

Would appreciate it. These are the parts that will become so hard to find in the near future, as more cars are being restored rather than scrapped. Down to values, sorry to mention that again, but it's a valid point. [8|]

Just as you'd love to find a 924 dash without cracks in your loft, I'd suggest all the 944 trim parts based on water-absorbant backings are going to become hard to find in good condition.

Kingsdoken,

I heard about Paul Champagne but I have never seen it in a 944. This is simply stunning! Did you have perforated leather details on the steering wheel as well?

Kind regards,

Bert

That's no ordinary interior retrim. The best seat retrim this side of a Singer 911 in my opinion

Yes, you have to go a long way to find an exception to the rule, but Kens leather work is epic.

Those seats are stunning [:)]

I was pleased with my re trimmed Silver Rose door cards, but yours are amazing.....
