Cruise control is easily done via an OPC.

Does the car you're looking at have an upgraded infotainment system? My old 981 GTS had Sound Package Plus and that could connect music via the aux socket in the glove box (from memory).

Has anyone had this done and any idea of cost? I am looking at buying a 981 GTS which doesn’t have it. I also want to use my iphone (10) for music/Spotify. Can you connect via the aux connector? Apple CarPlay could be. Later upgrade option?

Thanks, the car I looked at has an aux and usb in the glovebox but they don’t list sound plus in the advert. Good to know I will check.

If it has a rear camera or Nav then I think it'll have SPP? Both of those needed the upgraded screen and PCM unit I think.

My 981 GTS has the basic radio reference CDR-31. There is an AUX socket in the glove box into which I plug a Bluetooth receiver, it’s an inexpensive item made by MPOW. My iPhone then links to this Via Bluetooth. I’ve only used this when using Google maps sat nav on my phone and the sat nav verbal instructions come through on the radio speakers. The visual maps don’t appear on the car screen so it’s good for audio but not for visual. I rely on the phone’s screen for this. I’ve not tried this with music stored on the phone but don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

if you have (or intend to get) a Porsche warranty and you wont to install an aftermarket head unit, check with Porsche first to ensure it won’t invalidate their warrant.
