is this a retro fit item new stalk and perhaps re program?
is it Dealer only or can it be a Porsche specilalist?
Any idea on cost?
any suggestion on where to go in the Leicester area or I am willing to travel for a good deal
Andrew
I spoke to a Canadian dealer to see if they were cheaper - got this back
The cruise control kit (Part 997-044-903-00 )for your vehicle is available in 3-5 business days, and the cost of this kit is $634.24 plus applicable taxes. Thank you for your request.
As a result used parts are a) hard to come by and b) expensive. Needs a linking cable a few screws and either a new or modified lower cowl (I trimmed mine with ease)
I did pay under £100 for the stalk off a crashed 911 Turbo in Sweden
PM if you want more details

It is a very different process for 981s and 991s. I don't think an OPC would be able to code it if you have bought the parts yourself. The way an official retrofit kit works is that the kit comes with a 'licence' code. The OPC enters this code and your VIN into the PPN system, and it generates an activation code. The activation code is entered into the car with a PIWIS tester when the kit is fitted. There are non-offical sources for activation codes (at about $100 US), but you still need to enter it into the car with a PIWIS tester. I have done a few cruise retrofits on 981s, and it is a fairly easy process. If you are in my neck of the woods (Maidenhead, Berkshire) I could do it for you, once restrictions are lifted, or more likely once I get my second jab!
thanks again

Still, good job we are all different!
When I get to the NC500, i'll be driving un-encumbered all the way, no radio, AC or any other driving aid but for the other 1000 miles to get there and back I thought I might make it easier for myself, why not ???
