Retro fit heated seats

Maybe a silly question but can heated seats be retro-fitted to my 996 C4S? On a cold day, nothing better than sitting on a warm seat. Thx

Not impossible, but probably not very good VFM. The heater elements would need to be fitted, ideally by a trimmer, a control unit fitted to each seat, switches in the console, and then wired up. My guess would be £400-500's worth of bits, and perhaps 10-12 hours? Maybe £1200-1300+vat?

If you bought some heated seats, then you would only need 2 switches and the trim (about £60 in parts) and about 3-4 hours to swap the seats and wire it up.

OOOOOOOhhhhhh, where can I buy the seats from?? Or should I just go and buy some long Johns from M&S? :)

Thanks Tiku - Feeling abit better but think I should give the heated seats a miss unless I find some black ones cheap! Seen these on Gumtree but can't tell whether they're heated

I think you'll be lucky to find them Roy. Remember, they would also need to be the full electric memory seats for your car.
