retro fitted park assist for 997

David,

There are quite a few aftermarket park-assist kits available, but these are surface mounted, not countersunk as in the factory installation. The sensors can however be painted to colour code them to the bumper. £150 + fitting should cover it

There's also a kit that is concealed and involves an adhesive metal stip being fixed behind the bumper acting as the sensor. This therefore requires no drilling of the bumpe itself. Costs around £250 + fitting.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Clive

David,
You'll need to check with your OPC, but my understanding is the recessed factory fitted type cannot be retro fitted.

Your welcome.

I have a brand new invisible kit that I bought to fix to my daughter's car - then she sold it so it was never fitted! [&o]

If you need something like this, let me know.

Clive

I know a PCGB member who's had the flush ones retrofitted (non Porsche) and they look great and come with visual as well as audible warning.
He got them fitted by the garage he bought the car from - Portiacraft in Hendon London, you can try giving them a call and see who they use.

i got a set retrofitted by camtune godalming-looked identical to factory fitted-about £300 if i recall
