Retro fitting PSE or alternative exhaust?

retrofitted PSE to my 94 C2S for around GBP1,600 including work and switch in the main console. Worthwhile doing in my opinion, but would probably go for an even more agressive sound if I had the choice again. By now there are plenty of aftermarket solutions around and if you are not bound by the Porsche warranty you have a wide choice.
Good luck in chosing.

Two options
1) PSE - from an OPC or Porsche approved specialist. Big improvement in sound
or
2) After market
2a) Eurocup is the best of the budget ones circa £1300-1500 + Vat
2b) Miltek £2k-£3k fantastic sound on a C2/S
2c) Cargraphic - again £2.5 -£3k-ish fab sound
2d) Arapovich - mind bogglingly expensive (circa £7k) bit Titanium, finished to a quality you wouldn't believe and an awesome sound.
Personally I'd go Miltek for the Carrerra (2/4 or S) or Cargraphic for a turbo (don't bother buying the loud one, its pretty much illegal to drive anywhere cause its sooo loud[8|])
These two are high performance exhausts and drag the exhaust gasses away quicker than the standard induction system can get air in. So I'd look to change the standard induction system as well - it also improves the sound and gets you better low speed performance (the car breaths better at lower speeds)
For intakes, EVOMS or Porscheshop do a fantastic twin or single intake in carbon which sounds the mutts. I had the twin on my C2S with the Miltek exhaust and loved every minute of it.

My own thinking, if I couldn't get a PSE set up in very good condition, I was heading down the Milltek route based on previous good experiences with their product. Induction mods makes good sense too.
I found the Carrera S a big improvement on my current 996 in terms of internal/cabin acoustics so I'm now wondering how notable will the impacts be with the Milltek fitted?
ALso, has anyone just upgraded the boxes instead of the full kit (headers etc) and if so what were the results?

I can't comment on the boxes but the full Miltek is a big step up again, it gives the car a very serious sound to it, if that makes sense - much more purposeful and growly. With the Carbon intake included, last time I was at the Silverstone u drive the instructor wanted me to drive round at 4k revs all the time because he couldn't get enough of the nosie..............
