Retro fitting rear wiper

There is a letter in March's 911 and Porsche world answered by one of the specialists from a 993 owner about a wiper retrofit. The answer was yes BUT £ hugely expensive. i.e. new rear glass/ new wiring loom !!/ new rear panel. / big labour bill and that is before you even get to the cost of the wiper motor etc. Cant remember the estimate but well over £1000. I presume it wouldnt be much different for a 997. And I bet an OPC would have to do it to avoid a warranty disclaimer so double that . I never used my rear wiper anyway and that only cost £300 !!!

I thought it looks so much smoother without the wiper, so saved my £300 and bought a bottle of Rainex. The water beads and rolls off above walking pace and then you've clear vision.

Yep, the wiper is totally unnecessry and spoils the lines.

Dont even notice its not there.

I appreciate having my wiper and use it quite often - having said that, I haven't applied my Rain-X yet.
