Dear All,
I am interested in at least costing one or two options for my new-to-me (Christmas!) red 1998 coupe. They would be to change the rear part of console to red and change to red seat belts for the front seats. Headights have already been changed to clear - do you have any thoughts on changing the rears from orange to clear too either from a taste or a cost perspective? All thoughts welcome.
All the best
Des (am trying to get my status changed to member from non, email's in the post as it were)

I once had a MG Metro with red seatbelts!

You can't post about your new car on here without a picture, it's against the rules! Not sure I'd be changing the console to red but some people pay good money to do that to their new 997, clear rear lenses would help give the car the facelift look.

Hope you are enjoying your car.

Definitely change the rear lights, plus the reflectors/indicators at the side. Not cheap though, but worth it IMO.

I have had a rear console colour-coded by the local OPC. I think it worked out at about £350. It worked out cheaper to order a plain centre console and repaint it than buy one already done from Porsche which was north of £400. You could do it cheaper if you sourced a used rear console and had it prepped and painted yourself. Remember you also need the handbrake cover and the ashtray cover and surround too (or if you don;t use your car daily, remove yours and have it done.
