Retrofitting wheel arch liner

Hi all, I have an early 944 and currently trying to retrofit front wheel arch liners. Problem is I am completely lost on the fixing points etc. It would be at least helpful if someone with a later car have pictures on where the fixing points are. Or if anyone has had experience?

I just hate the fact that the air intake is completely unprotected from mud/water/etc from the wheels.

It shouldn't be - there should be a small shroud around the air intake on the LH wing... when I say small - it is probably still best part of a foot tall, and 6-8" wide, shaped to fit as a wheel arch liner would. It also acts as a brace to the bottom back corner of the front of the wing/top of the front PU if I remember correctly.
