Hi
The rev counter on my 911SC is playing up. It works ok for 10 miles or so, then shows either nil revs or very high revs. I have checked the wiring as far as I can and thought it might be the wiring from the CDI unit, which I think sends pulses to the rev conter/tachometer, but the plug into the CDI unit seems v firmly in. It seems unlikely to be the 12v power supply wire (from the ignition switch and/or oil pressure gauge) or the wire to the rev limiter. I had similar problem 5 years ago and had the instrument rebuilt by Speedy Cables (who say they are VDO specialists) but maybe it needs doing again. Unless anyone has other ideas, I will send it to JDO Instruments this time
