Revolutions in Perth (no not the disco halls)

I volunteered to help Scott out a little with upcoming events. Now I have a house full of girls, I need to do something to maintain a little sanity.

So the visit to Revolutions in Perth is scheduled for Saturday 18th April. Sure to be a brilliant day out, will pop up more details over the next few weeks but one for the diary.

The meeting point will be 10am MacDonald's car park at the Newbridge Roundabout.

Sure to be an adventure as my sense of direction is hilarious!

If you are planning on coming along let me know, can catch me on colin.sloper@konkor.co.uk I will also post a list of peeps planning to come, shame you into not making it!

Regards

Coco.

I'm up for that. I wanted to go and get a new pair of piloti's so this would be the perfect opportunity.

I was there on Tuesday of this week and Russell didn't seem to know about the visit. Has anyone told him?

Its not Russell thats organising it, its Mathew of Caterham side

Scott has confirmed with Matthew Mason that PCGB will be in attendance on SATURDAY 18th. This is part of a wider monthly meeting which is being organised by http://www.revolutions.uk.com/ so should be fun.

Looks to me like they are swinging into the car meeting events which seem to be popping-up these days. So much so that I am assured there will be bacon rolls upon arrival on a first come first served basis. You know it's all fur coat and nah knickers around these parts.

That's brings me onto the route. Mentioned before, my directional skills are pants, more inner gaydar than radar - does anyone have any idea's of a good drive from Maccy D's Newbridge to Perth? Don't want to play average speed camera cruise-control on the A9 if I can avoid it. If I am going cruising it's isn't going to be for cameras.

Suggest we set sail about 10.28hrs , with arrival about 11.31hrs and suspect we will be there for a couple of hours.

Can tell it's a bit of a slow day in my orifice [:D] today.

Straight run up the M90 from Newbridge to Perth, nowhere near the A9 and the average speed cameras. [;)]

Ok then route selected - Up the M90 it is - should mean the bacon rolls are still warm when we arrive.

I need to get my meeting attendance up a bit so think we'll be along for this. Look forward to meetings some more of you !

Just had a quick look at the weather forecast for Saturday. BBC weather suggests it will be dry all week and Saturday will be dry 12 degrees.

So no excuse, get the cars cleaned and ready for an outing. No need to worry about getting the garage queen dirty this weekend.

It is looking like we will have a good turn out with interest from potential new members, expect to pickup some exotics along the way!

Starting to look forward to a great day out.

There sure is space, it's open to all. We are hoping to put on a strong turnout, Revolutions have put out an email flyer letting people know we are coming to the event so more cars the better.

Since the weather is going to be good (possibly) I was wondering if anybody from the West (or anywhere else) fancied going up via Aberfoyle, Dukes Pass, Loch Earn, Crieff and then on to Perth? So A809, A821, A84 and A85 maybe? Seems like a good excuse for a proper run rather than a motorway stint... or maybe we could do that route or similar on the way back?

I by no means want to hijack your plans, so no offence will be taken if you just want me to shut up! Im happy to remove my post so that I don't start giving others ideas if you prefer?

Absolutely no offence taken, I offered up the opportunity for a fruity route, but little interest.

Suggest we check the pulse on Saturday morning, if you know a good route lets do it.

I'll be coming from the West ( East Kilbride- ish) and could be up for a slightly juicer route - . We could maybe carve a route on Sat morning towards Falkland / Abernethy direction before heading to Perth - not that I know that section too well mind and I appreciate it's mid Saturday morning rather than early Sunday so traffic might be an issue.

If others were keen to head from the West via Dukes Pass etc. do count me in !

Otherwise equally happy to go with the flow and meet at Newbridge Roundabout.

I might come up depending on whether or not I can get away on sat morning. If so I'll meet you there as I'll probably just go straight up the Motorway from Glasgow.Anyone else fancy a cruise up the road then give me a shout. Maybe we could meet at Stirling services?

I have also heard that in addition to some smashing cars being present at Revolutions, there will be a fine selection of premium watches on display from Edinburgh Watch Company. Jonathan always puts on an amazing display. Oh and did i mention BACON ROLL's and AMAZING WEATHER. Come along if you can.

I'm going to meet up at Newbridge tomorrow as I don't want to scupper any plans but will definitely take a different route back that will involve a few twistier roads :)
