Well hello again. Got a full engine service from porsche plugs points rotar arm distributed points filters. A few months ago. Car has been in my garage since service Started up on Sunday. While idling she revs up and down. Any ideas please

Hi there, this sounds completely normal. Both my 3.2's do this after initial start up and settle down to an even idle within appx 10 - 15 seconds. Cheers, Nick.

Revs does this even though it's sitting idle for 10minutes. I will try the cleaning and let you know. Thanks again

Mine does this too.

One thing, I think the damping on my Rev counter is lax as it jumps really easily. Not opened it up, but anyone know what type of damping they used ? Silicone, reluctance ?

Ouch, the bezel appears to be swaged onto the body, dont fancy forcing it open with a screwdriver just for a bouncy gauge ! and a spare to play with seems to be about £200 ! think I will leave as is.
