Not right, obvious after market conversion, bet it left the build LHD and was then converted.....anyway been harping on about NO N-GT Clubsports M003 cars so there not 3.8RSR....what time is it in Australia? I once caught a two headed Cod of Dungeness by the way.....[:D]

Porsche never conceived a RHD version from the offset it was never going to be a standard build, this is very much a bespoke one -off after market conversion (Factory?) a comprimised car for a comprimised race series, let me guess, the LAND OF MARDI GRAS......yes they like to do it differently out there.... strange Country, about sums it up....[:D]

Des its a factory car, dont you know anything[:D] yes bespoke for a good customer, not converted.
Compromised i think not, just like my old rhd gt2 racer, deff no compromise their.

Yeah they sat round and said let's just build just one 3.8RSR for fun defying the characteristics of the car.....obviously special order, but point is...it was not intended other than a shirt lifter order from down under....now the 993 gt2r they may have had already thought of this market...[;)]

ORIGINAL: SimonExtreme

Was this car originally delivered to Australia? If not, then there is another!

i believe this is the same car you are thinking of Simon, legend has it that there is only the one !

Not sure what the deal is with the rear number plate section as certainly not RS spec, engine lid and rear apron missing the q/r pins and associated holes etc...not doubting it is an RSR but maybe things have been changed to comply with Aussie rego rules ? Interesting to finally see it...thanks Paul.

Its is the only 1 says the factory in the village, del new in 93 to aus for the 94 champs, which it won.
It also has a race logged 50 races, its a proper car alright, its had a couple of war wounds in panel rubs etc,but no crashes. It still has all its ali panels etc.
A suprise for des, these cars are all bespoke and tweeked for differant race regs, hence some differances. Also racers tweek there cars a little and push the regs as much as they dare.[;)]
Its always interesting to hear people say thats not original!!As ben rightly says about race regs etc.
What about the imsa door bars on the usa racers
What about roll bars and door bars on a 906 ,to be able to race in the USA scca races , the rhd 906 that has disapeared off the face of the earth so far.
This car is no differant to a 907 or 910 or even a 917 in rhd form.
I thought you enthusiasts would be pleased to see the photos.
I have offered to help the owner sell the car,as he has had silly bids from around the world, he has been a big help to me with the 993rsr.
Regards
paul

Paul cracking pictures, and thanks very much for bringing to light this very unusual spec car which is unique much appreciated, how much is the car up for sale? Where in the World is it now?

Paul

One of the partners of the company who run my car for me was the mechanic on that car from new and when they won the '94 series. There is a great picture of the car racing in @94 on the wall of his office. I will have a look when I am there next week and see if the bonnet pins can be seen!
