There is a great feature on this car in the new Porsche RS book / magazine exclusive to WH Smith.

Not cheap at £x but thought I would show it on here before it goes to a friend on SOR.

Purchased from malton last year but deep down I dont really need 2 x RS. More photos if required.

Paul, hope this is ok to post here first? If not please delete posting.

Mike.

My 993 RS is for sale with Sean Lockyear, as I wasn't using it, but even though I too don't need it when it comes to parting with the keys it is a real wrench!

It does say something about the RS cars. This is the first car I have felt almost a sense of loss over!

Stll I am sure having another in the stable helps lessen the blow!

I saw that car at SL, the silver one. Guy who lives opposite me recently sold his Polar Silver car back into germany.

If I could only have one car then it would have be a 993 RS or any variant. Ever since they were launched one has had to be in the garage. Even if it doesnt get used as much as some say they should .

It is the best car I have ever had! I wish i could keep it!

I bought it to do trackdays in and replace a 964 RS. Trouble was once I got it I thought it was too good as it had original panels so just used it once a year at the Ring.

With the values rocketing insurance then became a nightmare and so it just sat in the garage where I would sneak a look under the cover every so often.

I now use a hotted up 3.0 sc for trackdays and which is cheap enough to use.

I will regret selling it forever but can't afford the upkeep of both particularly as I do believe even if things are not used they need a full service every year etc.

I am doing the lottery 2 x a week though and if i win I will be straight up to Seans to bring it back home!!

This is certainly a cracking looking example and very rare car. Is it the only white UK car? I remember one sold out of OPC Bristol about 4-5 years ago, think it had 9k miles at the time?

Mike, this would certainly be a car to keep,,,if it wasn't for your other one! [:D]

stunning looking rs in white, and the small wing pack looks fabulous in white too, the article in the WHSmith book on the white RS has the clubsport wing pack, is this the same car or has the big wing pack been removed?

Its the same car Paul, went through Bristol OPC a couple of times.
Its only (possibly) going to make room in the garage for somthing different and you are right the other car is staying.

I believe there were three white UK cars (PH may know better from the register) All three have change hands over the last few years. The 2k mile car sold out to Asia for and the bigger mile car stayed in the UK I think. The other two cars were both fitted with the larger spoiler pack and recaro seats.

This car did have the larger spoilers fitted for a while but was supplied new with the smaller spoiler pack which are now back on the car (the original spoilers) Out of my two cars this one is probally the better condition car, the dash and interior are like new, feels like a bit of a time warp when you sit in it.

Yup same car Steve, I prefer the small spoilers with sports seats and the larger spoilered cars to have the recaro buckets (with painted seat backs of course). The reason I didnt buy it at £69,995 from Bristol OPC back then (other than obviosuly wanting to pay a lot more later on) was that I was looking for a large spoilered car with recaro buckets.

At the same time there was a speed yellow small spoiler car with 6k miles that was ex Isle of Man car again through the OPC nework. From memory this one didnt have air con. I remember buying my first 993 RS from Linbrook Porsche same salesman still there under Porsche Tonbridge) in late 90's and had the choice of three or four cars including the sliver clubsport which a good friend of mine has owned for a while now.

no problem posting a 993rs for sale on here mike as long as its private and not dealers!
I helped one of the prev owners buy the car and done a inspection on the car for him at bristol, did have two sets of spoilers.
Had a good fun test drive with the potential owner who did buy it,but did not use it to much.

Yes I saw the car at Malton and it is lovely, but the 2k mile car was also small spoilered --- 'still had the pimples on the tyres and the original curved wheel weights on the outside of the Speedline rims !

You posted some photos of that car somewhere on here didnt you? The 2k mile car was subject to a Malton / Magazine article just before it sold and my memory is getting really bad or playing tricks as I was sure it was big spoilered. But given I know you have seen the car in the flesh and took some pictures I have to believe you.

Dropped my car off at my friends garage yesterday, its wrong but that was the most I have driven the car. It drove nicer than the clubsport and felt quite sepcial. Asked him to look after it for a coupleof months whilst I sort out storage / garage issues at home and then I will take it back. Possibly have 993 rear seats fitted for the kids and ue it for Sunday afternoon blasts or trips out for Sunday pub lunches.
