Her story is as follows:

Paragon have known the car for a number of years, its second owner was a lady who bought the car from 'Paul Fogerty' the supplying dealership at Rivervale in Brighton. It was then sold by Paragon to the owner of the Porsche specialist 'Protech'; a good friend of Paragon's owner. The last owner was also a friend of Mark Sumpter who lived locally in W. Sussex. []

Just to add to the intrigue. The cars first two owners where both female. Irene Hamilton was the 2nd owner lovely woman. She walked into Rivervale with the bad boys video case and requested that they find her a bad boys car. They obliged. I owned the car for about 8 years from memory and yes it was a hard decision to sell. My missus seeing this says I told you not to sell it. However it was sold to help fund another good air cooled cause that funnily enough I sold today. All I can say is that 964 3.6 turbo is one of the most honest cars you will find. It still has that new car smell when you open the door and I would argue it is one of the best examples you will ever find.

A bitter / sweet story if ever I heard one; sell a beautiful low mileage Black 3.6/964 T to get the all time classic rwd / air-cooled monster. The experience of the latter would of course be a real 'draw', but placed with the same dilemma, I think I would have to stick with the 964 T for now.

I hope you return to the 'fold' soon with another fine example....I look forward to it!

You are spot on. The evo is leagues ahead of the 3.6. But the problem is where do you get to use it in anger. They have become so valuable that in effect you become the custodian and cannot use them as Porsche intended. As a very good mate said, if it became a 30K car you would not care. Something that I have to get my head around.
