Rhodium Silver - thumbs up or thumbs down??

Having seen a few Agate Grey and GT Silver cars at my local OPC, I'm not sure they are quite the colours I'm looking for, so now I'm thinking the new Rhodium Silver might be the best choice for my new GT3...

Has anyone seen this colour in the flesh and can explain where it sits compared to other greys and silvers in the Porsche range?!

Thanks
;)

Thought initially it was just a name change for the standard "Artic Silver" but looks a little darker on the configurator.

Have a look at Alex's photos at http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=786422.
The Turbo 'S' could well be in that colour.

Why not request a visit to the compound at Reading HQ to see a car in the flesh?

Regards,

Clive.

I think it sits between Resale Grey and Play-It-Safe Silver. There are others, but I fell asleep thinking about them ;)

I thought it was a good alternative to 'Look at me yellow' and 'Centre of attention red'....!

Indeed, if you're buying a brand new 991 GT3 why would you want anyone to notice you.....?[:)]

Exactly. If you're buying a silly car, then it should be in a silly colour! :D

I can't think of a single car ever made that looks better in silver than in any other colour. I can think of cars that look good in silver (DB9, 300SL for example), but they always look better in another colour (Midnight blue and red respectively, in the case of my examples).

Damn straight, lesson very much learnt from the off. That's what happens when you let a woman have input into the colour, I wanted yellow like yours but she wanted to play it safe, so we ended up with crappy dull silver.

Thank god I traded her in for a younger model! :D

I see from the configurator they do a "deletion of model designation". I think that would be good option to go for too...[:)]

I'd prefer to delete the 'Porsche' lettering and just keep 'GT3'!

Hmmm.. I don't know. "GT3" only seems a bit "centre of attention or look at me" really.........whereas plain old Porsche blends in very nicely[;)]

When I used to drive my GT3 I used to find that the girls ignored the colour and the lettering on the back and just stare at me. Perhaps that was because I had the wrong colour car but Geoff seems to like it. I have an interesting day next week when I get to drive 4 of Italys finest back to back so will report on that. My monster development project should be coming to an end soon so will be back in circulation if I am not totally broke
