Well, I'm back from St Moritz in one piece - just! I'd just like to thank everyone who sponsored me to do the Cresta Run. A good thing really, as I couldn't then chicken out of doing it when I got there. You have to do what they call the Beginner package - a briefing, followed by 3 runs under instruction, then 2 flying solo. The briefing starts with a composite X-ray of a complete skeleton, made up of all the serious fractures down the years, just to remind you there is some risk............ As if we needed telling. You're expected to wear tweed and I was quite glad my breeks are brown. [][][][][]
I had 2 offs in 12 runs. For those who backed me, I thought you might like to see the first one. Sadly they weren't videoing run 11. I think I was going rather faster and the crash was more spectacular. I'm pretty sure the ribs aren't cracked; it only hurts when I laugh! So enjoy.

Anyway it's a relief to be home without needing the medical insurance and thanks again to all who supported me.
